The research I found is kinda vague on this one, could anyone help me out as this has showed up in qbank questions...

Live virii stimulates humoral and cell mediated responses, but does that cell mediated include CD8 and CD4? or CD8 only? Or CD4 only?

Side note:
I know that toxoid vaccines do not only humoral but also do TH4 class switching (so thus somewhat cell mediated too).

ok so i think this is my first post ever here, lurker for a long time

i'm pretty sure that attenuated viruses stimulate a Th1 response from CD4 cells that will activate CD8 T cells, which in turn will lyse infected host cells.
If i'm not mistaken the response eventually switches over to a Th2 response to stimulate antibody production and provided long-term immunity.

someone with a better grasp of this may want to verify/correct me on this though.😎
