Hi everyone! I was wondering if personal achievements like running a half-marathon or small promotions at work are worth a pre-II update. I am also in the middle of writing my thesis that my PI wants me to publish, but I feel less inclined to mention that until it's all said and done. Thank you all in advance!

I included my plan to run a marathon this Fall in the secondaries asking about gap year activities, but I don't think they are worthy of a formal update letter, unless you got in the podium.

wrap up that thesis and send out an update, that sounds juicy af. throw in the half-marathon, why the heck not ? half-marathon by itself is not an update unless you were juggling or something idk
