I'm a non-traditional student at 35 and have taken all of my science pre-reqs as post-bacc classes over the last year and a half (BA In Italian in 2004). Through my first 35 credits, I kept a 4.0, which I knew I "needed" to do to help make my application stand out.
For this past fall semester I received my first B (biochemistry--> my 92.4% didn't make the 93% cutoff for an A
)
So that said, the 4.0 is officially gone…
Pre-fall '16 semester:
oGPA: 3.34
sGPA: 3.38
BCP: 4.0
Post-fall '16 semester:
oGPA: 3.35
sGPA: 3.39
BCP: 3.91
In my eyes, the first numbers stand out more. Maybe I'm wrong and putting too much weight into that 4.0 -- I wanted it to be crystal clear that since I decided to return to school and pursue dentistry, my commitment and work ethic have been vastly improved from my undergraduate days (hence the mediocre oGPA/sGPA).
I just go ahead and update my grades/GPA/planned courses for next semester, right? As in, it would be frowned upon to either not do the update or just post both fall and spring courses as planned/in-progress?
