I was wondering if anyone received an email from Vandy congratulating them for completing the MCAT, and to consider looking at their site. My MCAT was below their median but within their 25% (516). I had not considered applying but now I am. I did not send them a primary and I have not been verified so I'm not sure how they would even know my score. Does this email mean they are expressing interest in me? Should I apply/ ask them to pay for secondary?

I'm pretty sure they autosend an email to anyone that gets above a certain MCAT score. I got a ton of emails and mail from Vandy and WUSTL.

This may be a cynical ploy by Vandy to increase its total number of applicants, which will in turn increase its apparent selectivity. Duke undergrad did the same thing years ago.

You can apply to have the fee waived after you submit regardless of FAP status and it "almost always gets approved."
