Vanderbilt Screening Time

Does anyone know how long Vanderbilt takes to screen applications before they send a secondary app? I was recently denied a place to the Vanderbilt MD/PhD program but was told that I can apply to the MD as well. I changed my AMCAS status and they told me that they will start the screening process, and it has been a month now and I haven't heard from them yet. Does anyone know how long the process normally takes. I also know this is a little bit late in the cycle.

My understanding of Vanderbilt's secondary screen this year is that there are two ways to get a secondary:

1) 3.8+ GPA and 37+ MCAT is autoscreened
2) Holistic review of your entire application, which takes a variable amount of time.

Where did you get the stats autoscreen info? Just curious.

It's from the people who got the secondary the same day or day after the submitted their application and comparing their stats to those who also had high stats but didn't get it immediately.

Not this year. Two separate steps.

I have been under review at Vanderbilt (no secondary yet) since 7/31. You might hear back when you are in your Xmas pj's.

It took slightly over a month for Vanderbilt to review my application and provide me a secondary when I applied.

They also send the neatest rejection letters.
