On the email Vanderbilt sends out, they say that you must finish the secondary before the interview, but can bring your pic, certification, etc with you on that day. Has anyone waited that long to hand it in, or does that show a lack of interest in the school? Thanks!

I finished it in my hotel room the night before the interview after Dawn was firm that they wouldn't give any extra time.

It actually doesn't matter at all, because they say they make that deadline "just to keep you on track." Pissed me off.

I turned everything (essays, picture, forms, etc.) in to Dawn on the day of my interview. I was accepted, so I think the date at which you turn it in matters. That autobiography was quite a pain to churn out.

I submitted my autobiography and other essays electronically a few hours before I left for TN the day before my interview....I turned in the check and photo at my interview. It didn't hurt me--I got in--but I still kicked myself for waiting so long to wrack my brain for what to say in the autobiography...somehow key life details are easy to forget under stress 😛

There was one kid at my interview day there who had submitted his essays electronically that morning at 5 am though ... just to further demonstrate the endless bounds of Vandy deadline-pushing 🙂

it doesn't matter a bit. i did the same thing as bidster and also got in, so just submit is sometime the day of your interview and you should be fine.

as an aside, i think the essays vandy has you write are pretty important, so make sure to do a good job.
