Okay, so a fellow SDNer pm'ed me to ask about the word/character limit for the autobiographical sketch in Vandy's secondary....

It's Freakin' 2000 *word* limit!!!!!!!!

I pulled out an old paper I did for one of my classes (obscenely long)....soooo, 2000 words is approximately 3 pages single spaced in 12 pt. times new roman font. Dude! If I had wanted to write that much about myself my name would be Bill Clinton 😀

So, anyway, slogging through and hoping to finish before the weekend is out.

Oh yeah...p.s. if you're applying mstp to vandy...count on two extra essays that each have a 2000 word limit. *phew* *shakes poor carpal tunnel wrists out*

In doing so, identify the values that are greatest importance to you . If you have complteted your undergraduate education, please comment on what you have done or have been doing since graduation. One of my friends got in to Vandy Med, and I think she wrote about a page and a half single spaced for the autobiography and maybe 3/4 page for the other two. I helped her proof them 🙂

I will be starting at Vandy Med this fall, and I also didn't use the whole limit. I think it may have been about 2 pages. They are much more interested in quality than quantity, but I think you'll find that once you start writing, there's a lot more to say than you realize. If you have any other questions, let me know.
