Has anyone actually received a letter from Vanderbilt in the regular old mail congratulating them on being accepted? I realize some people have received phone calls, but I'm just wondering if maybe they don't have time to call everyone and some people will just get a regular letter in the mail of acceptance.

applyingnotfun,

Hi! I interviewed in EARLY September and called to ask about my application status. I was told that I will not go into committee review until next month. So, if you didn't get anything or hear anything you may not have even been reviewed yet, even though your application was complete a long time ago.

damn... what's takin them so long... 😡

As per my other thread

If you interviewed Sept. 15 or earlier and have NOT received any mail from Vandy, CALL THEM to make sure you have been reviewed (and correspondence is in the mail).

I called, my interview was on August 29th, and the computer system accidentally "got stuck" on my application, and it was not reviewed in committee. I'm letting everyone know so they can double check this.

Feel free to PM if you want.

Dave

The snail mail acceptance letter arrives in a regular-sized envelope, but it's thick because there are many info on housing, financial aid, replying to acceptance, etc.

yup, happened to me: got the acceptance letter but no phone calls, so it does happen.....i guess they're just busy.....don't lose hope =)

When did you interview if you don't mind me asking? Thanks!

On an unrelated note, my Vandy interviewer actually emailed me, saying that he got a note from the assistant dean about my acceptance, and urged me to seriously consider vanderbilt.

I'm not sure if all interviewers do that, but if so, you may get such an email before you get the acceptance letter in snail mail.

Wow~ 😱

Some people also got a call from the Dean of Admissions prior to receiving the snail mail.
