Does anyone know when Vandy is going to start taking people off its waitlist or any other relevant info??

Vandy will review all the waitlisted files shortly after May 15.
They will decide to accept, waitlist or reject people. Everyone will get a letter from them at the end of this month.

The Vanderbilt waitlist is moving. I got a call from the Dean of Admissions just a few minutes ago. I declined, so it should be moving some more soon. Good luck!

Yup, got the letter from vandy today telling me that I am on the smaller waitlist now. too bad i'll be telling them adios

I requested the letter to be sent to my school.

I haven't gotten a letter, just the acceptance phone call from the Dean.

I got the same letter about the smaller waitlist. Ho hum...what to do?? I liked this school A LOT but I'd pretty much given up on them. I'm almost hoping I dont get in then I wont have to re-plan my life AGAIN.

Why do so many people turn Vandy down? I'm new to this board so I apologize if this was already covered somewhere. I'm considering Vandy so I'm curious.

Has anyone actually managed to speak with the director of admissions at Vandy? I keep getting stuck talking to a secretary which is not useful at all.

I'm considering Vandy so I'm curious.•••••I think some pple turn vandy down because of the lack of diversity....it is a terrific school, and a great reputation, but a lot of pple are accustomed to diversity, and unfortunately, vandy has the lowest diversity numbers in all the medical schools.....

it is more a personal choice rather than an academic one really...
