Which of the following will decrease the vapor pressure of a liquid?

A. Increasing the kinetic energy of the molecules in the liquid
B. Increase intramolecular hydrogen bonding
C.Decrease intermolecular hydrogen bonding
D.Decreasing temperature of the liquid

I know D is the answer but i think B could be a legit answer because if you increase the intermolecular H bonding, it will increase the boiling point, which will decrease the vapor pressure.

nope, because hydrogen bonds are INTERmolecular, not intramolecular. They occur between different molecules not within the same one.

Dipole-dipole forces and London forces are all examples of intermolecular forces that affect the vapor pressure, yes?

D.Decreasing temperature of the liquid

A is wrong, because kinetic energy is used to break the bonds, so VP will rise.
B is technically true, why isn't this the right answer? Vapor pressure is dependent on: temperature, dissolved solutes, intermolecular bond strength.

EDIT: LOL READING ****ING READING COMPREHENSION, SAYS INTRA.
C is the exact reason why it's true, because decreasing intermolecular bonds will increase vapor pressure.
D is the same as A; and I gave reasons in B.

The answer is D

Well, since this has already been outed as a lame trick question.. Lol @ lame trick question.

Where did this come from? TBR?
