That just sounds pretty awesome to me!! I knew about most of that stuff, but your description sounds a bit more in detail.
I will give you some advice on the library "problem." I know what you mean when you like to have the hard copies in hand. But I remember the admissions officers said that medical students would have all the Virginia Tech facilities available, which means their library on campus that is HUGE! The library on the Tech campus has lots of medical journals, but probably not near as many as a typical medical school. However, if they do not have an article from a journal that you want, the library staff will get it for you from a national network of libraries (including UVA and MCV and just about every other hot shot medical school), and give it to you FREE OF CHARGE!! I have even got articles from Sweden and Norway translated into english. It is cheaper for the university and VCOM to subscribe to an online version of the journals, rather than hard copies being sent them and having to have them bound together and stored. It also saves storage space, and paper for copies, that way the student has to provide their own paper, and/or print it out from home. The Tech library also has wireless internet access which is pretty good, however the old thick cinderblock walls make it a little difficult sometimes to get a good signal.
If you did not know before, several years ago Blacksburg was listed in a big magazine (maybe it was TIME or something else), as the most "wired" internet town in the USA. So you will definately see just about everything on the internet, including grades, financial stuff, libraries, even some classes are totally online and you never actually go to a classroom.
I think the virtual cadavers sound too good to be true, I can't wait to see that! The research building I am sure will be top of the line. Sounds pretty groovy to me!
Do you have any other concerns? Feel free to discuss them, I would like to hear what your opinions are.
