hey everyone,

I recently applied to NSU and VCOM. They are both reviewing my primary right now. Does anyone know how long it took to get an interview from VCOM after they give you the secondary? Also, if I interview in feb. is it going to be harder to get in? Is there anyone that can give me information on the interview at VCOM too? I'm really freaking out now. I want to have an interview already.

I received an interview invitation the same day my application was complete and interviewed a week later. I was admitted the following morning. I've heard from numerous people of similar situations. I really don't think you'll have to wait until February. If you interview there you'll love it. Just relax, be yourself, and enjoy your day. All of my interviews (there were 3) were very laid back and it seems they just wanted to see if my personality would mesh with the VCOM atmosphere. Hit me up if you have any other questions. Good luck

thanks a lot. What was the interview like? was it group interview? what type of questions did they ask?

The interview is nothing to worry about 🙂 As the other poster said it is very laid back. You will have three one-on-one interviews. As far as the questions look at the interview feedback for VCOM on this website and you will see good responses for the types of questions that may be asked. Good luck and hope you get the interview!

Hey guys--

I looked all over the forum for the VCOM interview questions/responses, and I could not find it. If any of you have already interviewed there, could you please give me some advice/tips. I just had a tough interview this week at another school, so this time I want to be prepared. Thanks!

Go to the top of the page and under the big SDN logo, on the left side, there are several links starting with Home and Dentistry on the far left. If you keep moving over to the right you will see a drop down menu for interviews. Click on that then click on medical school interviews. Then I believe that on the right side of the page halfway down the screen there will be a link for browse feedback. click on that. Then there will be a drop down menu for american medical schools and on the menu you will see edward via virginia college of osteopathic medicine. Highlight that and then click go. It will pull up all of the VCOM interview feedback.

They seem to have a really good turn around..nice👍

I'll just repeat everything the others have said. I was offered an interview the day after I was complete. I was then offered an acceptance a week after I interviewed. VCOM doesn't seem to be like most medical schools in that they are slow as hell to get any information back. Not to mention I've never met anyone as nice as Megan. When I first met her I kept thinking "there is no way a person can really be this happy", but by the end of the day I realized she really was that happy to be working at VCOM. It's really a pretty special place when the faculty are excited about their school. You don't see that kind of atmosphere everywhere. VCOM is the one place you can relax during your interviews. No stress at all.
