VCOM Postbacc

So I assume some (if not most) people in this thread have been to, talked to faculty or know someone at VCOM for medical school. Does anyone have any info on their thoughts on the school itself or general information concerning its pros and cons? Just being inquisitive about what I have to look forward to.
 
Does anyone know for sure what GPA you must earn in the post bac in order to get into the DO program? I've heard both a 3.0 and a 3.5.

I heard you need a 3.6 and a 24 on the MCAT
 
Previous post-bacc here so you can PM with any questions you may have. I chose this program over a few other post-baccs, and, although I learned A TON to prepare me for medical school, I would not attend the program again if I had the choice. Just make sure you research your potential programs and the area, and make sure that this program (and school) fits your specific wants and needs.

did anyone else get accepted yet? its May 12th and I haven't heard anything yet. getting worried over here 🙁

I know I am very anxious to hear good news but VCOM is taking its sweet time, there are few others who are in same position as me. Lets hope for the best.
 
My friend is a first year this year and said that admissions is working on post bacc apps this week and next now that regular admission is pretty much done. Good luck everyone!!

Yea there isnt much people on this thread that are accepted. Did you receive your acceptance in email? and did you send in a deposit already?

I haven't heard back either. If I do I will decline immediately as I have already decided to go to a different program closer home. Wish you all well and hope that anyone still waiting for a decision will hear back soon!

I am still waiting, i honestly can't wait one more week. What the hell is taking them forever?

Finally coming out of the woodwork. I was really getting my hopes up thinking today would be the Friday I'd get the news.. Nothing yet!

I've been assuming there's still a possibility (albeit a small one) until I hear a definite 'no'..

Just got an acceptance yesterday. If we are able to maintain a 3.6 and get above a 24 on the MCAT, are we guaranteed a spot in next years class?
 
Ah my gosh! Just got accepted yesterday! So much to do in the next.. 30 some days? !?!
 
How big is the class and how full is the class ?
 
I think it should be almost full by now, and I think whoever didnt get accepted yet is on the waiting list
