so i got the typical
'we have looked at your file and are interested and have give you a priority score. but it is clear we might not be able to interview everyone with your score and will notify you if you get an interview by email.'....on jan 5th....and still no interview...

is there hope? how long after that message did you guys get an interview?


also, anyone get a vcu invite lately at all?

I got this message back in October. Still nothing. But some people have said that they got this message and then a day later were invited for an interview, so you may be one of the lucky ones, who knows..

I got the same thing - nothing since then. However, I have kept up with weather there, and it looks like they had to cancel a couple of days because of the snow storms. So looks like they're running behind a bit.

Actually we made out pretty well! A lot of hype but all we got was ice...just enough to close area schools today and tomorrow but not enough to close the university. I'm a current grad student here and we were NEVER closed due to the storms!!! Argh!!

Anyways, I've heard the same thing about getting an interview later after that very message. For those waiting on the school...don't be afraid to check in on them to let them know you're interested. They are a little short staffed and sometimes need little reminders to make sure your app stays close to the top of the pile.

I just got an interview there after that message.

i had gotten that message last fall, then a little while ago i sent them an email just telling them i would be in the area at a certain time and saying that if they wanted to interview me, that would be a good time. presto, the next day: an interview invite for the day i had said i'd be there.

I got the email message back in October about the whole priority score thing and got an invite to interview about two weeks ago. My interview is on Thursday. Don't give up hope yet!
