VCU invited for interview on AADSAS

Hi everyone,

I just checked on my AADSAS and saw that my status changed for VCU to invited for an interview on 1/6/10 but have not received anything in the mail, no phone calls, nor emails regarding this invitation.. should I just sit tight and wait for something in the mail or call the school?

the same happened for me and i got my letter like a day later but i live about an hour away so dont worry about it

Do dental schools still send out interview invitations?
I guess I still have chance to get some more interviews from all those schools that said under review since about 3 months ago.

I think some dental schools are still giving out interviews, I hope so at least!

to gatorpredent: does the letter indicate which date your interview is? or do you have a selection of dates?

I'm flying from California so I'd like to book my flight ASAP! 😛

I haven't received anything yet either. But i think from what those that interviewed out there said, you might call and schedule but i really don't know. I don't think ill end up attending my interview though.

Way back in September, I got the same thing, AADSAS update "Invited for interview."

They send you a packet to your address, then you call to schedule an appointment. When I did it you could only choose from Monday or Tuesday but that might change now that it is later.

I'm assuming the earlier interview date the better? or do they usually interview everyone during this second round and then decide?

when did your apps get mailed? and when did VCU change status for you?
Mine was mailed in nov, and it still says waiting for official DAT score (Which i sent in october)
What's going on? 🙁

I submitted my application on 6/29, I took my DAT on 8/14,and my status changed for VCU on 1/6/10. If you look on my previous posts, I didn't do too hot on my DAT.. 18/18/19 and my overall GPA is 3.47 and sGPA is 3.22 --> not so great either

but i have tons of extracurriculars and volunteering experience.. i'm sure you'll get an invitation soon! are you a virginia resident - the school gives preference to virginians right?

My friend interviewed in early December and he was told that there were going to be 3 post Dec 1 interview dates of less than 10 people before the next round of acceptances on or around Feb 1. That was later verified by Dr. Healy. Hope this helps. There are several D1 in my class this year that I know of that were accepted in the Feb round of acceptances last year. Hope this helps. Also, if your Aadsas was updated, just call and set up the date of your interview.
