I just got accepted into both VCU + GMU, and I am interested into going into VCU's Pharmacy School.

Will it be harder for me to get accepted into VCU's Pharmacy School if I decide to become an undergraduate in GMU?
And is it true that VCU students have an advantage when it comes to applying to VCU Pharmacy School?

much help would be appreciated!

from what I hear, VCU students do not have an advantage when it comes to applying to the VCU School of Pharmacy. It just gets tougher to get in each year. (as like any other pharmacy school)

I am graduating from GMU this semester and applied to VCU. I have spoken to different admissions counselors at VCU, and always was told VCU students do not get special treatment. I am always wary of this, and personally feel the school will be more lenient with accepting their own students.
Of course, it moreso depends on your application. IE how strong a candidate you are (GPA, PCAT, volunteer, work experience, EC activities, interview, etc). I have a few friends from GMU who got into VCU without any problems. Go wherever is easier for you to be the strongest candidate you can be. I personally would go to VCU if you have no preference as I am suspect you would have an easier time getting into the VCU program. Good luck with your decision.
