I got in!! ADDSAS update at 8am est to "offer made"!

cool...are you from Virginia? I'm an undergrad at VCU now.
 
Please someone that got accepted tell me you are planning on going somewhere else. I'm still "invited for interview". This is my #1 choice!
 
Do any of you know if the "Offer Made" status in AADSAS indicates an offer to enroll in the D.5 program and not the actual freshmen class? I'm assuming this isn't the case ... but I don't recall if Dr. Healy specified ...

It means you are in the D1 class of 2014, D.5 program kids find out way later
 
Congrats to all of you and best wishes to those still waiting to hear! I remember last year well, so I'm excited for you guys! If you plan on going to VCU and have any questions let me know. You're going to love it here!!

I received my acceptance letter in the mail today at lunch time!!! I live in Richmond, so I am sure you will get your tomorrow!!!!

I just went down and delivered my deposit check in person! First one officially in the 2014 class. I wasn't going to mess with mailing it and getting it lost!

I'm in TOO. I don't know if there's already a group on FB yet for this incoming class but I'll check and if not I'm going to create one so you can meet other people who've been accepted! Search for a group along the lines of "VCU dental C/O 2014".

does anyone know how many in-state acceptances VCU offered in the first round?
 
anyone accepted that interviewed november 16th? I'm pretty sure I'm going here I'm from NY. BUMP this thread I want to learn more about my future classmates 🙂
 
Has anyone who interviewed after December 1st heard anything back from VCU? Or does anyone know when the second wave of acceptances is typically sent out?
 
During my Jan. 11th interview Dr. Healy said that the second wave of acceptances will go out on Feb. 1st.
 
Hey congrats on the acceptances to VCU. I am applying in the next cycle and wanted to get a tour of the dental school. Should I email admissions to inquire about getting at tour? advice is appreciated.

I'm pretty sure if you call the admissions office they will hook you up. If you do call, check and see if it's possible to meet with Dr. Healy and discuss your application. He's extremely nice and helpful. Good luck!!

Thanks for the advice I will do I think I am going to try and get at tour of the school in march over my spring break. The dentist I go to and shadowed went there and he does great work so Im quite excited to see what the school looks like. Ive only ever toured UNC's dental school so I think it will be nice to have something else to contrast it to.
 
Sweet, shoot me a message if you make it up here and we can chat. We have break in March as well, but I'm not exactly sure when that is (i think it's the week of the 14th). Good luck!

Has anyone been accepted in the 3rd round to VCU School of Dentistry?
 
I was told by Collin that the admissions committee met today, Feb. 22nd, and the decisions would be posted this evening or tomorrow morning.

Congratulations! Random question: Do you mind me asking what your stats were and what your Chem. grades were at JMU?
