Anyone know if Sharon has retired yet or if she's still hanging around?

I'm not in at another school - so needless to say, i'd really really like to get in off this waitlist.
FYI, they have sent out acceptances to the waitlist people. Have any of yall heard yet?
I'm still waiting....
If i remember correctly Dr. Healy said that they wouldn't just send out acceptances to the waitlist but rather he'd call first and ask if the person was still waiting and would accept the offer...because there are so few people waitlisted he prefers to do it this way rather than through snail mail b/c that can take quite a while. did you call the school about them sending out the acceptances? i could be totally wrong about what i heard Dr. Healy say.

That seems right, excuse my previous post.
That is correct. Dr. Healy called me about a week or so ago to see how things were going since my interview at VCU. I am supposed to be taking biochem over the summer but there is a time conflict with the course because VCU begins class in early July.
Anyone on the waitlist at VCU heard anything about the D5 program? Does anyone know if you are on the waitlist and not accepted do you qualify for the D5 program?
All the dentists I know that have come out of VCU are excellent clinicians and super nice people. This combined with how nice Dr. Healy has been makes VCU my 1st choice. I'm sure the schools has some negatives, but I haven't heard about any.

what is everyones stats (if you dont mind sharing)
is the D5 program only for VA residents? if not, how do you become a part of it?
The D5 program is for anyone - you don't have to be a VA resident. They consider only the people they interview for the program. And I think its just a Dr. Healy decision... hope that helps.

You guys mean D.5 right? It is for out of state as well as instate if that is the program you are talking about. My interview day there were 5 people there, all out of state (maybe with the exception of 1) and we were told about this program. I don't know when they choose people for it though.

I was take off the alternate list a few weeks ago. So keep hope, it really does happen.
DDS, you were taken off the VCU waitlist?
Any more news on movement of the wait list at VCU? Trying to keep my hopes up but it is getting really close to the wire now and I am getting nervous!
how many people generally get off the waitlist and into the class?

Yes, I was. I am an out of Stater and I am thrilled because it was easily my #1 choice.

When were you added to the waitlist? I am just trying to figure out how fast it started to move.
