You guys ever use the a line kits for seldinger guided peripheral access under US guidance?

I was thinking about this. Same catheter, 20G, made with polyurethane.

Yes. Have done this a couple times for deep brachial IVs when the longer angiocaths were not available. Works fine. Some radiology techs may balk at giving contrast through them.

Do it all the time using the Arrow 12 cm 20 ga. femoral kit. Great for deep forearm veins in large patients.

I've done this on the floors when the longer angiocaths aren't available, and despite documentation and telling everyone I can, I get frantic calls for days from nurses who believe I put in an arterial line on a med surg floor...???
