I am a rewriter using EK 101 and TPRH verbal workbook. I am getting very demotivated by my verbal practice. Last cycle I used all the AAMC verbal material and only scored a 9. This time around I am absolutely killing EK (0-2 wrong per passage, rare to get 2 wrong). However I am getting DESTROYED in TPR. I am talking getting 2-3 questions right per passage. It is very demoralizing. I really don't know what to make of it because I fear the AAMC FLs if I redo them will just inflate my score and give me a false sense of confidence. In TPR the questions I always get wrong are "from the passage it can be inferred..." or "the author would most support..." or the little detail questions. I find TPR requires a lot more detail memorization while EK is more big picture theme/mood. Any insight appreciated.

I notice I do much better in TPRH if I go back to the passage and find evidence supporting my answer. For some reason I do better on TPRH than EK this way because the EK questions are just that much more abstract to me. Did you try that?

I do this on both! I really can't seem to improve on TPRH at all. I find that EK is more abstract but there is always one answer that stands out as correct (much more to the main theme of the passage) while TPR has so many similar answers and or all 4 answers seem wrong
