Anyone else having trouble getting Versed? We stockpiled demeral and morphine because of the fentanyl shortage, we have tried Shein, Pss, mckesson and have considered Clint. I have ordered xanaz and ambien so we at least have something tp give them orally. There appers to be no shortages on the po meds.
Suggestions anyone? Besides burnind down capital hill and let practicing docs make these decisions:meanie:

Unfortunately no concrete help but want to second your frustation. Clindamycin on backorder as well. Ughh. Totally foreseeable and avoidable mess.

Some dont get that you have to harness humanity's innate selfishness for the betterment of all. Capitalism isnt perfect just the nearest weve got.

I'm trying iv ativan, used po valium a few times. there is po versed, but I haven't used that in years. I like the ambien idea. we use dilaudid if out of fentanyl

lidocaine has been a pain to get, even marcaine is backordered. using xylocaine and ropivicaine

what's next? no needles? we use straws?

Severe Lidocaine and Versed shortage in the PNW.

This is the government trying to kill interventional pain management again.

How can you possibly have a Lidocaine and Versed shortage??? These things are not made out of gold or plutonium...whats up?

propofol was because lawyers sued the company into bankruptcy over warning labels, but is this related? Or more like oil speculators ramping up the price for profit?

How are hospitals coping with this shortage in this area ?

Yes, I got the ambien idea from the dentists. I have not tried it yet because it takes so long to work. I don't want to give it to them to take in advance because I'm afriad they may fall outside of the facility. But if there is no versed, ambien and xanax 1 hour pre-op

I started using Iv Benadryl, it has helped. Po Valium, then Iv Benadryl and fentanyl. The Benadryl is not short acting, but does the trick. Versed where art thou?
