Very stupid and risky, but what do you think?

It's for those of us who hate RC and aiming for 18+ on RC.

English is not my primary language and it'll most definitely ruin my DAT score.

As we know there are three passages with 16, 17, and 17 questions and out of given 60 minutes, we can use 20 minutes for each passage.
20 minutes sound short, but what about 30 minutes?

Do your best on two passages in 60 minutes and aim to get all questions right for any two passages. if you miss 2~3 questions, you'll get 30~32 out of 33~34 questions. And for the last passage, let's test our luck and put all the answers with your choice from A, B, C, D or E. for last 16~17 questions, hopefully you'll get 3~4 questions right, possibly few more or few less. Let's say we get 3 questions, and we got 30~32 questions from two sections so it's total of 33~35 questions correct.
From the range given by kaplan, 31~34 correct is 18 and 35~37 is 19.

As I said, it's very stupid and very risky, but I feel like it might be worth trying it if you're not well prepared for the section lol. I've never tried it and it's just a theory.

Sorry about my grammar if it's hard to understand, leave a message if it's not clear.

I would get my hands on some practice exams and try it out first. Seems REALLY risky. I am with you though, RC is not my strong point, I am a slow reader and trying to read on a computer screen does not help.

I would maybe try the search and destroy method on all three, and mark ones that might take more time to find. Then if you have time at the end go back and try to find the other questions.

BUT from what I have recently been hearing, the S&D does not work on the actual DAT.

Sounds risky.

Just practice and improve on doing all 3 passages well enough.

There's a hard way, an easy way and a wrong way to do things. This is the wrong way for sure.

Like they say, there are no shortcuts in life (unless you hit lotto) and I assure you there will be none on DAT.

Hard way = reading the passage carefully and normally as it was originally designed
Easy way = skim + S&D
Wrong way = your risky idea
