I apologize if this website has been posted here before.. but I hope it would be a nice **bump if it hasn't been around in a while. Anyways, my question is: are the tuition costs on here accurate? I've read posts before about other websites being wayyy off and I hope that is not the case because this website seems awesome.

Cheers and good luck to everyone applying!

I believe the prices are correct but everything else is very fishy, it doesnt have a alot of information that why most schools are listen as a 3.00 gpa for average acceptance. I currently only use it for price comparisons. I dont believe its that accurate, if any1 can confirm or deny that would be helpful.

This is the website I use for all my basic references: physicaltherapygraduate.com

The tuition costs aren't accurate on there. Take a gander at Duke's for one. It says $68,000 for in-state and $62,000 for out-of-state . A lot of the other numbers aren't correct either.

The cost for my school is way off there. It says 39,000 in state for UTHSC Memphis but it's more like 14,000 or so.

If you scroll down to the very bottom of that webpage, you'll see that it's put together by a company (FindTheBest) "focused on collecting and interpreting data." My guess is that they are using a robot to scrape info from a bunch of websites and re-posting it on their own. Due to the very large amount of data involved, I am sure there is no verification done by humans. So the info can be old, inaccurate (garbage in, garbage out) and not to be trusted. And if you join the site, esp. if you sign on with your Facebook account, it will collect a lot of your data.

Check the website of your target schools yourself, it's much safer.

(I used to work in the software industry).

You guys are right, some of the numbers are off.. but what I've noticed is that the ones that are off (usually on the higher scale) are the cost for all 3 years, rather than per year. @davidtheusername, for example, the 39k seems pretty close to the 14k x 3 years. Thanks for all of the quick responses.

On http://physical-therapy-schools.startclass.com/ I noticed for a school Im interested they have tuition listed at $48,000/year, which is what the school lists as the total cost for the whole year (tuition+ rent + transportation + insurance + etc...). From what I've seen so far their tuition numbers look wayyy off.

I like physicaltherapygraduate.com and have found it really helpful. The numbers are off sometimes, but it has good features and is worth checking out.

Go to the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) website for tuition rates per DPT program
http://www.capteonline.org/Programs/Accredited/

Scroll down to the "Tuition, fees and financial aid" header to view the most recent data available. Data is updated annually and reflects tuition as of fall 2014.
