I posted here two times in the last six months, one time blaming my not passing into vet school (2015), my second, hoping to get into vet school (2016). My third time, is me, in pharmacy school, studyng in uni this time, to actually understand how to pass this damn test and get in vet school. In the meanwhile, i've come here to know and read (if you want to share) your best vet stories and keep me motivated. Have a great day!🙂

You're in pharm school, hoping to go to vet school? I hope you aren't taking on loads of debt. I'm not sure how it all works overseas though.

I'm not sure I have any fuzzy happy stories right now. I'll have to mull it over.

So I work in an emergency service and we had a 5 year old Doberman come in who was completely paralyzed, due to a disorder called atlantoaxial instability. This dog lacked mobility in all four legs. After being diagnosed by our wonderful neurology department, surgery was performed to correct the issue. The recovery period for her surgery was very long; she resided in our emergency room for around a month! Slowly but surely, her toes and lower legs began to move. It was an uphill battle for her. She celebrated her birthday in the hospital (in which we made her a wonderful party hat). After a month of physical therapy and recovery, she walked herself out the doors of our hospital to a standing ovation. It was miraculous and was what sparked my interest in veterinary neurology!

I live in Italy, here to enter to some universities as medicine, veterinary, pharmacy, it requires you pass a test, which is so competitive, just consider that in vet generally pass 1/10, so it's very very competitive. Story tells, the first time i didn't success i decided to study on my own, thinking it was the best solution, but somehow i was wrong beacuse then i failed for the second time. Here's the story, i made the test for pharm too, and i succeed there, long story short, to not be in the same situation as happened last year, i accepted and so now i'm in there, eventually i fail next year too, i think pharmacy is a valid solution (but you know, the vet passion is in me, that's the all why, why i posted this🙂 )
