I just applied to veterinary schools and I'm right in that terrible gap where you've already submitted VMCAS and all your supplementals, but you won't hear about interviews until "November through January". Can anyone ease my pain and give me a little more specific info about when they got interview offers/ via what method (phone/email/mail) for any schools?

Michigan State does not interview. You should hear from them around early December, I got my rejection via snail mail.

There are dozens of threads on this exact topic. Look for the Interview Invites and Acceptances threads from previous years and you'll find everything you need.

Davis lets you know about interviews in mid November. Interviews are held mid-December and notifications are sent out early/mid-January.

UC Davis interviews have been scheduled for December 12th-18th.
Last year I was offered an interview on November 16th via the portal.
I was offered admission on January 10th, also via the portal.

There's quite a range during which you might hear from schools. I had a low undergrad GPA so I heard back quite quickly from schools that have GPA cut offs early on. I didn't get an interview until February. Penn is quite famous for taking forever..I don't think I got rejected until March.

Take home message...it could be next week (especially with schools with rolling admissions) or it could be months away. The best advice that's been given over and over again is to not let it consume your day to day routine. Find something else, a long book or tv series works well. Constantly checking your email and portals will make you cray cray.

Like BlackDog said, there are tons of old threads with information on this, and it's a really good way to get a general idea of when to expect to start hearing back. I know I've personally been obsessing over it, so I searched through a few days ago to calm myself down a bit. Here are just some quick links to the last two years of interview invites/acceptance/waitlist/rejection threads. I just linked it directly to the last post I could find, gives a pretty good idea of when and how you'll be contacted, and theres plenty more on the forum, as well as you can also take a look at old school specific threads.

I also applied to 11 schools and this waiting game is awful. Fortunately, I received an interview invite from St. George's via email mid September and just had my interview this past week on 10/9. Of course, that's really early and they are on more of a rolling admissions basis. I'm hoping to hear from the other schools I applied to November/December like everyone else has said.

👍 That's the best help you'll find.

Mississippi will send out invites around mid-December by e-mail. As for Michigan, I got my acceptance in January by e-mail, but they sent them out in small batches every few weeks starting in December I think? Va-Md did things differently last year than they had in the past, so not sure how things will be this year. They usually already have the interview dates posted on their website if you wanted to look that up. However, you can find all that information that I just gave in the links listed above.
