Is there a such thing?...and if so what schooling would one need?

No. But there is such a thing as a veterinary surgeon.

Undergraduate college, 4 years usually, then 4 years vet school, then 3+ more years to get to be a board certified surgeon. I would set aside at least 12 years for start-to-finish out of high school.

also veterinary surgeon is what DVM's are called in the UK (or used to be...)

Being a surgeon and a board certified surgeon are two different things by a long shot though.
