Hey guys,

I am wondering if anyone had advice (from personal experience, websitse, word of mouth) about schools that are more open to allowing students to switching to IS if they start as OOS for tuition purposes after matriculation. I know that some schools are more flexible, and some say upfront that whatever status you start as that is what you pay for the duration of your schooling regardless. I applied to VMRCM (IS) and NCSU (where I was a resident for 22 years, born, raised, undergrad there and was told by registrar that I could reestablish my residency after 12 months fairly easily). I did not get an interview at VMRCM and I realistic about NCSU out of state stats, soooooo I am already mentally preparing for the next cycle. I know that switching to IS is never a guarentee but I simply cannot apply somewhere knowing for 100% of a fact I will graduate with OOS tuition for 4 years. I am a single mother, my son will be at least 11 when I am done with veterinary school and I will then need to start planning for his future! If anyone knows of veterinary schools with not insane OOS stats that are flexible about students gaining residency, please give me some help!

Thanks! 🙂

Thanks so much! What a great help! 🙂

No problem! 😀 There's a handy search function on these forums, as well! I can't even count how many times I've found answers with it!

Oh, and welcome! 🙂
