I saw that a few months ago. Eye-opening even for someone who used to prescribe that crap alot. I never knew you could smoke pills.
The FL pain clinics are simply cashing in on addiction. Same as any other drug dealer.

god i hate the term "pain management" and i hate when my office is called a "pain clinic"
its like a dirty word now...ugghh. and the worst part is the majority of PCPs and docs in the community lump us all into this...

Brutal is right. But this makes me feel better about being such a hardass about who I prescribe to. And my patients know I am keeping track of details like fill dates, pill counts, and use.

Brutal is a mild term that other members have used. I'm ashamed that these people are called doctors. Florida was high on my list to settle down, but now I'm having second thoughts. I just don't understand why the state doesn't track the prescriptions like other states do.
From your experiences, which other states have this problem?
