Does anyone go to a school that has video streaming for undergrad? I feel like with it being more and more common in medical school it might just be a matter of time before it is a mainstay of undergrad education.

I for one am excited to go to medical school knowing that I'll have access to lectures without having to go to class every single day.

I'm also a Class of 2016 med student and I while I did not have streaming for undergrad, I am now (like ~70% of my class) a full-time streamer. I put together this site to help my classmates budget their time when they're streaming at faster speeds. Check it out, let me know what you think:

At my school, the only department that streams the lectures is the CS department. It would be nice if all departments recorded lectures though. I wouldn't be surprised if schools started recording lectures in the near future though. Installing the cameras would be a decent expense and then data storage could be a problem as well. It'll be awhile.

My UG did this. I loved it! You could login and watch live, stream the recordings off of the Internet or download the videos. Being able to download was really nice bc I could put them on my iPad and watch a little bit at a time whenever I had a chance even if I didn't have Internet access.

Haven't tried watching them sped up though. I usually do the opposite and pause every few min to digest the info, look at figures and take notes.

Poor OP, it took 344 days to get a reply.

🙁

I wish!
Our institution has mandatory class attendance for everyone, and it's just a pain in the ass for people like me who learn ten times better on their own than in class. I could cut my overall "school time" by half if I didn't have to go to class 🙁

I had one professor in my UG career that posted all the lecture videos online. It was fantastic! Reallly looking forward to having this again in medical school.

I believe case western did for UG. I vaguely remember that from my recruiting trip there...
