I remember having seen/heard somewhere that there is a particular virus that notably produces a viraemia.

Is this an over-generalized statement or is there a specific virus that should come to mind here?

Kaplan QBank, in one of its explanations, specifically mentions a viraemia occurring with measles virus, but I had also though that this occurs with VZV.

Could someone please help out here?

Cheers,

Any virus that goes systemic produces a viremia.

They just stress measles and VZV because the viremia correlates with the rash and when people are most contagious. It's also usually when a blood test would have a titer high enough to detect the viral load.

They always love the roseola one because when the kid breaks the fever, indicating that the viremia is resolving and then comes the rash that everyone is hoping for.
