ICO just reached out and canceled my in-person interview for March 27th. They did give me the option to instead do a virtual interview on facetime/google hangout/ skype on the 27th OR I can try to reschedule for when they are resuming interviews on April 17- May 8th. I really don't know how a virtual interview would go and if it would be awkward. I am definitely more comfortable in person but I don't know if waiting that long would be better. Would it be better to do virtual or in-person?
On top of that what if the worst-case scenario happens and they have to impose a quarantine much longer??

I just had a virtual interview with AZCOPT. Like yourself, I'm a lot more comfortable with in-person interviews, so I was worried I wouldn't do too well with virtual interviews. AZCOPT didn't have an option of resuming in-person interviews at a later date, so I didn't have a choice. With all that, I thought I did really well with the virtual interview. If you are going to take the virtual interview, I recommend practicing with a friend virtually to get used to talking to a screen and making sure your technology is all set and ready! With the way things are looking with the virus, I wouldn't be surprised if a longer quarantine is imposed, so be prepared for a virtual interview.

I know in general most schools will ask the same questions but being that it was a virtual one, did you feel the questions were tougher or the interview was longer?

Nope not at all. Still got the basic questions like "Why optometry?" and "Where do you see yourself in ten years?" and nothing that caught me off-guard. They're really just trying to get to know you haha. My interview was still set for 30 minutes only as I believe the interviewers had a full day of interviews ahead of them. Basically, I wouldn't worry too much about any drastic changes and just prepare as if you were going in for an in-person interview. Also as I mentioned before, try to do a practice virtual interview with friends/family to get used to it!
