Visa and I-20 or I-94 processing time

Is anyone familiar with the processing time a study visa can take to be finished? Does every international student has to wait for some processing or there are examples of people who got it on the same day of interview (study visa not tourist/business)? Because I applied and it has been a month with no good news yet!

Considering you put in so much effort for all of us, here's the little info I have about it:

1st thing you dint mention the country/place you applied in?
Normally its given on the same day and your passport is sent in a week after the stamping.
If there has been a problem with the history of the candidate, then there is a delay. Call them and ask the reason for the delay. It shouldn't take that long.

Any type of visa it usually takes no more than 1 or 2 wks......
It's better u call thm directly to enquire abt ur status....

Thank you guys. It's been more than a month and a half and still nothing appeared. Will check it next week
