im wondering if anyone here can give me some insight on this:

i got an acceptance letter from UTHSCSA. i returned it, signed, happy as hell, ready to attend, because i loved the school.

my question is this: do public schools themselves send you information regarding how to switch over to the F1 student visa, or is it something which I should start talking to them about? I'm thinking they're aware of it since it's a part of my application, right?

I'm a Texas resident, but a Canadian citizen, so I don't know how this is going to work. Any ideas?

I called UTHSCSA a couple of days ago, and was just transferred to 30 different people. I'll start e-mailing them after the Christmas break I guess.

I don't quite follow your question: What do you mean by "switch over" to F1 visa? Are you already in the country under another visa-status? But you already mentioned that you were a Texan-resident, that means you are a permanent resident? I'm confused by your statement...😕
