Is there a place in here somewhere to ask about US Visas? Green Cards?
I will be starting a residency program in the US but the problem is i have a husband and a child. Just wondering how easy it is to get a work permit for my husband.

Any direction would be appreciated.

Different options:
1- J1 medical for you (most common visa sponsored by programs) your husband will be J2 and can apply for work authorization, mostly will be granted and can work in any field.
2- H1 visa for you (you must pass step3), few programs sponsor H1. Your husband will be H4 and not allowed to apply for work authorization. But an employer can sponsor him another H1 or green card for example, and then he can work.
3- Green card (employment based, family based, lottery and may be other ways). It is almost impossible for a program to sponsor you green card as resident. Explore www.USCIS.gov

You can explore further with ECFMG web site and programs you are most likely to match with web sites to know what visa they are going to give you.
