Visiting Resident Elective Programs??

Hi,

I will be starting my residency in July and we get a one-month elective in 1st year. I am hoping to do an elective as a visiting resident somewhere in US. However, I can't really find any organized programs, except for Stanford (but they only accept people who have finished 1 year of residency).

Does anyone know which schools welcome visiting residents? I'm Canadian but will have finished step 2 by the time I do my elective.

I'm sure that most will let you come for an elective if you just ask. Decide what specialty you want to do, where you want to do it, then contact the Program Director of said program and I'm pretty sure you'll be allowed to come.
