Charles Retina Institute and Hamilton Eye Institute, Memphis, TN, has a paid position available for a vitreoretinal research fellow to begin as soon as available.
Requirements:
-M.D. or equivalent degree
-some prior research experience
-Ophthalmology training (completed residency preferred)
-ability to obtain Tennessee medical licensure preferred but not required
Position:
-the fellow will have the ability to work on many ongoing clinical and basic science projects
-streamlined IRB process with full time coordinator available
-access to a large clinical and image database involving vitreoretinal pathology
-genomics laboratory and experimental optical coherence tomography are available for collaboration
-clinical experience in medical and surgical retina will be available to a fellow if prior residency completed and medical licensure is obtained
-salary and support materials will be provided
