What in the world does this mean? I've taken 2 full summers of classes (2007 and 2009) at my university. I also took a 3-week summer program during high school at Cornell (2005) and a distance education class last summer (2008). I received credit for all of these courses and they all show up on my transcript, so I have to list them on VMCAS, but how do I know which ones are Summer I and which are Summer II?

I don't remember from VMCAS because I never took summer classes, but my guess it that it refers to how some universities split the summer up into two sessions so that each one is a mini-semester and you could take two courses consecutively over one summer.

If that's not the case at your school I'd just go with Summer I.

i just listed all my summer courses as Summer I.
