Would working at a christian summer camp for boys help me more on a dental school application than more shadowing/volunteering experience in the summers? I've worked with this camp for 3 summers now and would like to continue. I am a sophmore and plan to start my shadowing experience my junior year. If I continue working there for a few more summers I have a chance at getting hired as Assitant Director for a summer. It is a pays around $1500 for the summer and I was wondering if the Dental Schools would rate this job with volunteer work?

Generally, volunteer = you don't get $, so the last summer they prob wouldn't. But the first 2 summers you would and I think that will be enough. Be sure to get plenty of dental shadowing and if possible, get in there and do stuff too. Shoot for at least 100 hrs.
