Volunteer question!!

So I just started volunteering at my local hospital and have been shadowing a surgeon for the past few weeks so i think I'm on track (going to be a soph). Was just curious, does anyone think volunteering at the Humane Society would be good for the app in years to come? Regardless if it's not clinical (which I'm volunteering clinical at the hospital anyways) I felt it would show care/compassion! Not to mention I think it would be fun! Any thoughts?
