volunteering at clinic = shadowing?

Right now, I am volunteering at a dental office (breaking down and setting up, filing charts, cleaning tools) and every so often I get to see what the dentists are doing. Will this still count as shadowing? Or just as volunteering? Am I being a typical paranoid pre-dent?

both. shadowing is following a dentist and watching him and if lucky assisting him/her.

filing charts is NOT shadowing.
