Greetings!
What is the format of the application for volunteering. In other words, is there a date start time to a date end time, or is it based on total hours, and how many different volunteering slots do you have?
The bolded is important. Please be specific.
Thanks

It is both, and the volunteering section goes under the "EC/Volunteer/Community Service Section".

You can't choose one or the other? So must include both? You haven't answered the 3rd question

Yeah you gotta include both. And I'm not sure on the exact amount, but I know for that whole section, it's like 10 I believe.

They usually ask you from what date to which date, how many hours per week, then total hours.

What's more important - your role or hours put in? For example, if I would lean to having a more impactful role, even at lower hours. Would Adcomms agree?

From what I've heard, consistency seems to be the most important. If you do a ton of hours for a week or so, it would mean less compared to just going once a week for a year or two. The latter would probably show that helping others is part of your character.

Where does the shadowing hours go, and is that based on hours and start/end dates?

There's a section called "shadowing/dental experience", I just put mine there. AADSAS just says "total hours", but TMDSAS has both "total hours" and "hours per week".

Thanks for the help

Is there an upper limit to number of shadowing hours you'd recommend? Or is it always the more the better? I have around 130 hours and I'm thinking about dedicating my time elsewhere

I'm one of the people who likes to think that there's no such thing as too much exposure. Numbers will be numbers to some people, but the important thing is to get as much out of shadowing as you can to understand your career path.
