Volunteering - UW clinics?

I've read on here of some people who went to UW as an undergrad and got volunteer experience in the dental clinics. How did you get into that? I'm currently a junior at UW, and I'd love to find some way to get in some more clinical experience.

even those who don't/didn't go to UW, any advice?

Try your local personal dentist or ask him to recommend
a place (his friend) where u can get some shadowing experience.
Usually if you tell your dentist honestly that I need some
experience, he will help. Mine did. All the best.

Thanks for the help. I'm in the middle of my HepB vacs, getting my third shot sometime in mid-January. This summer, I spent about 8ish hours with my own dentist, and I'll be going back in over Christmas. I also spent about 8 hours with an oral surgeon. Thanks for the info, now I can up my hours next quarter!
