Volunteering

Hi everyone,
I'm just wondering if when people say pharmacy schools likes volunteering is it volunteering at a pharmacy they like or any sort of volunteering?
I have the opportunity to volunteer at a dental unit in a hospital because I am deciding between dental and pharmacy. I do have shadowing experience in both fields so now I'm just concerned about volunteering itself.

Pharmacy experience (volunteering or paid) is the most valued. If you can't get a spot in a pharmacy then volunteer in a health related setting.
