Hi I was just wondering if volunteering with hospice care would be an ok thing to do and be able to put on my resume. Some of my peers are telling me it would not be since it is more of a "pre-med volunteering" activity. I was just wondering if this would be an acceptable source of volunteering hours.

Thank you on your insight!

I volunteer with hospice. I love it. I don't even care what others would say - I do it because it is something I enjoy.
I say do it if you think you would like it. Not everything has to be "dental".

I think its a great idea, especially if it's service oriented.

I do a lot of hospice volunteering, it's awesome and you learn great communication and patient-interaction skills. Sounds like something critical to becoming a great dentist in my book.
