I feel like I've read on here a lot about volunteering, but I was wondering.....

How much variation do pharm school admission committees like to see??

I'm doing a few different kinds--

A) Meals on wheals (Delivering meals to homebound seniors)
B) Operation ABC (Helping K-3rd graders who are falling behind w/ their literacy/reading)
C) Hospice
D) independent pharm
E) Chem tutor

But I was just wondering how much emphasis they really put on it? I don't foresee a problem w/ mine..just curious...

And I know this is probably stupid but does adcom stand for admission committee? 🙂

Thx.

I think you are more than fine. There's not a specific number adcoms are looking for. Showing commitment and that you spent time outside of class to do something is what is important. And yes adcom stands for admissions committee.

I'd always see adcoms.. and I was kinda confused. I actually just put it together today =P  Are P2's or 3's usually part of the adcoms?

I think it depends on the school what the make-up of the adcom is. I know a P1 that is currently on the committee. It's more about who volunteers rather than specific years I think.
