I honestly feel if the executive office were to be vacant for the next four years, the better off our country will be. As I watched the RNC last week in utter misery, I noticed that not a single cut in spending was mentioned. The next wave of credit crunch is coming very soon to our shores, and many of us with a small business are going to feel the effects. I'm currently watching the DNC right now, and the choice comes down to who do you want to drive this country is off the fiscal cliff the fastest: the dems or the pubs We just surpassed 16 trillion in debt on a national level today with no end in sight. Our dollar is being drowned into a never ending abyss. Michelle Obama just gloated that her student loan debt was more than her home mortgage after she graduated. How is this a good thing? Buy Gold, buy guns, sell your stocks, and prepare for the next financial collapse.

Completely agree. The government is the problem. The government needs to get out of people's way.

I heard at least 2 proposed cuts: 1. Repeal the Obamacare 2. Ryan's medicare cut. These two cuts are definitely not enough. We need to cut a lot more.

I am going to vote for the lesser of the two evils. I am going to vote for the candidate who is slower at spending our tax money and the borrowed money. If our president is re-elected, he would continue to spend like what he has done for the last 3.5 years. Psiyung, I remember four years ago when Mr. Obama won the election, you said things would be better. Did you regret voting for him?

Because of so many uncertainties, I stop investing. I stop investing my money on setting up addtional ortho offices. I stop investing my money on purchasing rental properties. Instead, I focus all my energy to pay off my debt so I won't have to worry about the Greek-like crisis that our country is heading toward.

Edit: It doesn't really matter if I vote or not. My vote is just a symbolic vote since California is the bluest of the blue states.

I'm voting for Obama because Romney wants to cut my welfare, food stamps, medicaid, EBT card, healthcare, earned income credit, and govt. housing subsidies. How will I afford my trips to the dentist, hair salon, and nail salon?

I still vividly remember several quotes from people celebrating Obama's victory about "giving me my money" "getting me a house" and a rambling statement amounting to redistribution of wealth to the poor. How did that work out? I'll bet my house they all vote for him again. Meanwhile, in Greece, Nero-bama is fiddling.🙄
(BTW, I know it's Rome, I'm making an analogy)

A couple of things that I find quite interesting looking at the current state of affairs in politics now.

#1 there are so many modern day liberals who now think that government is the answer to almost everything who 20 or 30 years ago were openly and actively protesting almost any government intervention

#2 Why is it greed for one to want to keep more of the money that THEY earned where as it isn't greed to want to take money from someone else who earned it when you didn't?

#3 Since when has just showing up for a job been associated with the mentality that that action alone should essentially guarentee financial success?

#4 When exactly did the profession of journalism go from just reporting the facts and letting the viewer/reader decide their opinion to its current status where "journalists" tend to weave their opinion into some facts in a way that doesn't allow the viewer/reader to form their own opinion based on the facts?

and #5 as the old saying goes... "If your 20 and not a liberal, you don't have a heart. If your 40 and not a conservative, you don't have a brain!" 😀

vote for romney. because obama thinks that MDs purposefully amputate diabetic people's feet, so that the MD can make $20,000. Obama seriously said this. Google or Youtube if you don't believe Obama said this. Oh by the way, orthopedic surgeons only make $850 if they amputate someone's foot. $20,000 >>>>>>>>>>>>>> $850 .

Obama also said that pediatricians purposefully take out people's tonsils so that they can make more money. Google or Youtube if you don't believe Obama said this. Oh by the way, pediatricians don't remove tonsils. ENT docs do. Oh by the way, referring MDs don't profit from a referral. That violates Anti-Kickback and Stark Laws. Oh by the way, Obama is a lawyer, isn't he supposed to be familiar with the laws?😎

I watched the DNC and it was a little scary to watch Bill Clinton joyfully express that Obama cut $750 billion in Medicare payments to doctors. The crowd massively applauded when Clinton said this. :scared::scared: And this is coming from Bill Clinton, a man who cheated on his wife and then lied to the American people about it.

The government is now looking to get its claws on dentistry. Google 'Bernie Sanders Dental bill.' It is a takeover of dentistry by the government. Bernie Sanders is a senator and is an independent who started this bill. Do you know why he is an independent? The Democrats aren't liberal enough. So Bernie Sanders is part of the 'Democratic SOCIALIST' party. Google if you don't believe. The law will pass. I can just hear the Liberals yelling already, "Porcelain veneers and Invisalign for all is a basic human right. It's only fair that people get free invisalign and lumineers. It's the right thing to do."

I'm not in dental school yet, but I have a plan for sucess:

Go to cheapest DS possible. Work at one of the chains. Attend night classes to get a law degree. If dentistry is not worth it then Become a full-time lawyer specializaing in medical malpractice and dental malpractice. Sit outside of hospitals and dental offices and hand out fliers telling every patient that if they need a lawyer I'm available for a free consultation and that their best bet is to pick me as their lawyer cause im a doc. They can even Skype me 24/7 365 days a year. Get rich suing docs and DDS. Join the Democratic Party and pander. Run for US House of Reps and sponsor bills to pander to the Democratic Party vote bank. Run for senate and do more of the same. Run for president.

FYI, you'd almost never get rich as a lawyer suing dentists. Just not a lot of cases that even make it past a review board where one can legitimately prove negligence and malpractice.

And my gut feeling is the democrat party of today as we know it, is about to go through some major changes and won't resemble itself very much after this November

Ryans medicare cut doesnt take into effect until 2027, and their will be numerous revisions to it before it can pass the house or the senate.

No I don't regret voting for him. What I was hoping for is for him to have a balanced budget, with slight tax increases and slashes in defense spending and medicare/medicaid. None of this has happend. I should have looked at his previous voting record before I voted for him, but it was such a monumental time in America that sometimes we overlook the things that actually matter.

Up until then I was always a student of investing based on charts and technical analysis, but over the past four years, I have also educated myself in real world economics, and how an economy grows and why it crashes.

The solution will ultimately come down to revamping our entire economy by raising interest rates, so we can start saving and producing again. Re-flating the big government bubble like the Fed is doing is only making matters worse, and sadly a bigger crash is coming our way in the not too distant future. Nobody believes me when I say that there is a currency crises coming. The only way we are creating demand for housing and colleges right now is because of low interest rates and government guarantees. Once the pillars are completely cut off and interest rates rise (which they'll have to), your average home owner is going to have little to no net-worth. That's exactly what you get from a consumer based economy. Cheap money will lead to this country's demise. Free market forces will eventually take over, and only then will people understand what kind of mess the government ultimately put us in.

Exactly. And his political opponents still accuse him of “driving the grandmas off the cliff.” It is still better than the alternative, which is to do nothing.
...... with slight tax increases .....
Tax increase for what? For more stimulus spendings? More bailouts on heavily unionized companies like GM motor or green companies like Solyndra? More wasteful GSA spending in Vegas? More foodstamps for those who are too lazy to find jobs? More wealth redistrubtion? Do you really think the government will use our tax money to pay down the national debt?

Scott Walker and Chris Kristie balance their state budgets without raising taxes. Why can’t this be done at the federal level?

You want to pay more tax? Starting in 2014, you will have a chance to do so. And it will be for the new entitlement program, Obamacare…not for deficit reduction.

I agree. The government needs to get out of people’s way and let the free market figure out what works best.
