I have a VR7 and 3.9 and have gotten many interviews and acceptances. MCAT schmemcat...it's just one test. If they cut you off at 7, 6, or 5, i'm betting that some schools will accept you so long as they have another reason to.
 
I received a 6 in verbal and got secondaries from all the UC's. I interviewed at UCSF and UCLA. Just remeber most people in this thread have no clue what they are talking about. They are applicants just like you and I. So don't fret... best wished and take care. 😳
