So I came across an EK Q that asked about the molecular geometry of sulfur tetrafluoride. And we were supposed to know the answer is "seesaw".

Is this stuff important to know for the MCAT? I mean, I'm familiar with linear (sp, no LP), trigonal planar (sp2, no LP), tetrahedral (sp3, no LP), trigonal pyramid (sp3, 1 LP), bent (either sp3/2 LP, or sp2/1 LP). But that's it. Really not too familiar with anything that gets bigger than that that. Think that's enough?

Or should I be memorizing the trigonal bipyramid, seesaw, t-shaped, etc. etc. stuff?

You should definitely know that it is trigonal bipyrimidal (dsp3)

Seesaw on the otherhand is a little weird. i personally have never heard that before so its up to you
