1) I did a search, and haven't found any info from recent times, so I apologize if this has already been beat to death.

2) I don't even know if this has rolled been rolled out company-wide yet, or if it is still just in Florida.

My store rolled out "half power" last week, and will be going "full power" soon, but I haven't worked there since and I was just wondering what the pharmacists/techs/interns/patients think of it.

Are you getting a lot of scripts sent back because all the necessary information wasn't on it?

Are the patients receptive to this? Or do they become aggravated when you now have to counsel on a maintenance med refill?

What do you do when you can't decipher a doctor's signature? We get a lot of ER docs that just scribble their signature, leaving us to guess who it is if we don't recognize it. But the power system now mandates that the doctor's names are written legibly on the prescription (which obviously makes sense).

Are the CAPs on all scripts brought in from the central fill place a complete hassle? Do you remove them all at once when they are delivered in the morning or as the patient comes in to pick them up?

Obviously I have a lot of questions, and would welcome any input. If not, I'm sure I'll find out for myself on Monday. I'm just kinda worried because our store still fills over 600 scripts a day on average "out of season" and implementing a whole new strategy like this could be a disaster when the busy season comes.

I work at a busier walgreens right now and I seem to have to pick up slack from other stores via F4 or F1. It's kinda BS because then it puts my own pharmacy behind while you deal with your store and several other stores that automatically get assigned to you! At the end of the day, i think it will be a good thing.
