Hi everyone, I am in the alternate list of Western University, Touro University, University of Colorado, and LECOM.
I just wonder if anyone of you hear any info yet? Have they taken people off the waiting list yet?

I have heard back from Touro and Western. They are not taking anyone off of the alternative. I am still waiting to hear back from LECOM.

Did Touro and Western contact you to tell you that they were done with their admission process?

I have not received anything from Western at all and Touro sent me a letter last week updating me about how they have split the high alternative list.

I received an email from Touro and a snail mail from Western, stating that they weren't taking me from the list. I'm not sure if that meant all their seats are filled or not.

dont apply to touro if u have not gotten ur BS. u will be automatically place on the mid-alt.

does that still apply if I'll be getting my BA in bio this december?? I'll be submitting my pharmcas app as soon as 2 more e-LORs are submitted... Hopefully by the end of this month. 😕

I think that BA is valued higher of course then not having a degree at all. So apply there because they are looking for a BS/BA.

Yes this is the Alternative list. I have no idea what it means, oh well I am re-applying this year.

have u heard of anyone else who have gotten the same letter from Western? It doesn't make sense somehow to me. if they reject all the alternates, then what happened if someone decides to drop out or go to another school? can you quote the letter CaliRx?

They probably just rejected some people that were on the lower end because I just read the letter and it doesn't say anything about everyone else just me. "We regret to inform you that you were not accepted for the class entering in August 2007." It continues by saying how I can re-apply, etc.

e-mail from touro? did they specify if they were referring to only you or have they just scrached the alternative list? When did you receive the email.

its ok. I got this June 11th:

Dear Applicant,

At its most recent meeting, the Admissions and Standards Committee of the College of Pharmacy decided to close the admissions process for the Fall 2007 entering class.

and then it goes on...
I guess its just my bad luck

I'm going to start my second year at Touro soon and the waitlist is still open. They closed their admissions process in June because they interviewed until the beginning of June for the Fall class of 08. They can still take people off the wait list so don't give up hope yet.

wait wait.....the Adm and STardard committee close the admission process for fall 2007? does that mean all of us alternates will be getting the letter soon too?

No they'll keep some of you guys there until the first day of their classes(Aug/Sept). They probably had rankings and eliminated the lower half or something.

My Sciense GPA is 3.7
I got BS already

I only received a letter from Touro updating my status. They just informed that they split the High Alternates into 2 titers. that's all.
For the other 3 schools, Western, LECOM, and Colorado, I have not heard anything from them yet.

When is the marticulation meeting and class start for a new student fall 2007?

By the way, I got accept to Lecom Bradenton from waiting list. But, I still want to go to Touro. I am packing but I do not want to move until Touro decision.
